2008 Rescue Technician – Ropes Certification Course

(The following classes are for certification in the Rescue Technician program)

We are pleased to offer 2 opportunities to complete the RT Ropes Rescue specialty at Cleveland Community College. We are offering a weekend format and a weekday format. You can choose which suits your schedule and come and join us!

Weekday Format:

June 2-5 and June 9-12

Weekend Format:

Sept. 13-14, Sept. 20-21, Oct. 4-5, and Oct. 11-12

Objectives:

Day 1   PPE, Basic Equipment, Incident Planning

Day 2  Anchors

Day 3  Non-traditional use of ground ladders

Day 4  Mechanical Advantages

Day 5  Fixed Rope Systems

Day 6  Lowers and raises

Day 7  High Lines

Day 8  Victim Removal

All sessions are scheduled 8a-6p

(You must attend all 8 sessions to complete the class, total of 80 hours)
