2008 Rescue Technician – Confined Space Rescue Certification Course

(The following classes are for certification in the Rescue Technician program) 

We are pleased to offer 2 Confined Space Rescue Course opportunities at Cleveland Community College. Please view the course dates and information listed below. 

Weekday Course

Class Dates:                  February 25, 26,27,28,29, & March 1, 2008

Class Time:                   8a-6p

Weekend Course

Class Dates:                  November 1, 2, 8,9,15,16, 2008

Class Time:                   8a-6p

(You must attend all 6 sessions of one of the offerings to complete the class)

There is no fee for this course if affiliated with a fire or rescue department

Students will need the following for class: helmet, long pants (BDU Style or Fire Service), steel toe boots, eye and ear protection, leather gloves, personal harness, SCBA w/spare bottle (both current hydrotest date), knee and elbow pads, flashlight. If you don’t have everything, please give us a call. We will try to accommodate your needs.

Special Note: Students who desire State Certification as an RT Structural Collapse Technician, RT Trench Rescue or any other specialty must be certified as a NC Rescue Technician and NC Ropes Rescue Technician. You must be a certified RT prior to taking the RT Ropes Technician Course. If you just desire a great training class without being certified, (ex. Firefighter with no rescue responsibilities) you can take the course but you will not be allowed to sit for the written exam. For a complete explanation of the Rescue Program visit us on the web.
